KMC designates 25 places for Tihar flower sales

Kathmandu, Nov. 4: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has designated 25 locations across the capital for the sale of flowers and garlands during the Tihar festival, aiming to make festive shopping more systematic, convenient, and environmentally friendly.

With flower demand rising significantly during Tihar, the metropolitan city has identified specific locations where farmers, traders, and vendors can sell flowers and garlands. The initiative is also expected to support local flower producers and reduce unorganized roadside trading during the festive season.

According to KMC's designated list, flower sales will be permitted at various commercial centers, shopping complexes, and public spaces across Kathmandu. The locations include NB Center and iPlex Mall in New Baneshwor, Big Mart in Shankhamul, Sales Berry in Madhya Baneshwor, Phoenix Tower in Battisputali, Tinkune Ground, Sifal Ground, AC Complex, and KL Tower in Chabahil, Dharmachakra Park in Swayambhu, and Kalimati Banquet.
