Home Minister confers rank insignia on IGP KC

Kathmandu, Nov 4: Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has conferred a rank insignia on newly appointed Inspector General of Nepal Police (IGP), Dr Manoj Kumar KC. The Home Minister also handed over an appointment letter to KC amidst a programme organized at Home Ministry this evening. In the past, Secretary at Home Ministry would confer the rank insignia to the IGP.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held earlier this afternoon had promoted Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police, KC, to the post of IGP. The newly appointed IGP KC has done PhD in conflict transformation. Born in Nuwakot district in 2032BS, Dr KC had entered the Nepal police as an inspector in 2054BS.
