Youths build 2-km of road with personal funds

Rukum West, Nov. 8: Youths have constructed two kilometres of road at two locations in Rukum West using their personal funds. One kilometre of road has been built in Sani Bheri Rural Municipality-3 and another kilometre in Musikot Municipality-1. A new road track has been opened along the tourism road connecting Beltapu in the ward to Bhala Chaur, Kamaide and Maurakhara.

With their financial support, a new road has been constructed from Duabari to Gharillo Bhala Chaur. The six youths contributed a total of Rs. 207,000 towards the construction. The new road has shortened a route that previously required people to travel a longer distance.

A local Palbhan Nakal, 74, expressed happiness that the youths, despite living abroad, had taken responsibility for their village and helped bring road access to the area. He said the road would contribute to development, prosperity and convenience in the village. With the construction, locals are expected to benefit from easier access to transportation, improved mobility and the convenient transportation of goods and livestock.
