CAAN forms committee to investigate helicopter collision in Solukhumbu

Kathmandu, November 4 The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has formed an investigation committee to look into Tuesday’s helicopter collision at Pheriche in Solukhumbu district. An Air Dynasty helicopter bearing registration number 9N-AOD and a Fishtail Air helicopter bearing registration number 9N-AJR collided at Pheriche. One person died in the incident, while two pilots and a passenger were injured.

CAAN formed a five-member committee under the coordination of director Prabhakar Chandra Mallik. The committee includes pilots and aircraft engineers. The committee has been tasked with studying and analysing the causes and contributing factors behind the collision and submitting a report with recommendations to prevent similar accidents in the future.
