Nepal clinches title of U-19 Women's Cricket Tournament

Kathmandu, Nov 8: The Nepal U-19 women's cricket team has won the Belt and Road Series held in China. Since today's final match against Hong Kong couldn't be completed due to rain, Nepal remained unbeaten and lifted the tournament trophy. In the tournament with six teams participating, Nepal won four out of the six games they played. The remaining two games were canceled due to rain.

Nepal had a great start by beating Thailand by seven wickets in the first game of the series. Then, the second game against China ended without a result due to rain. In the third game, Nepal defeated Hong Kong by a big margin of 92 runs, and in the fourth game, they again beat Thailand by 52 runs. In the fifth match, Nepal strengthened their title run by beating host China by 84 runs and then faced Hong Kong in the final game.

Batting first in that match, Nepal had scored 88 runs for the loss of two wickets in 11 overs before the rain stopped the game. After that, the game couldn't continue because of bad weather. Four teams participated in the tournament: Nepal, the hosts China, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
