Ed Sheeran has received planning approval to restore six deteriorating barns on his historic Suffolk farm, creating private storage and archive space for his music collection. The decision, reported by the East Anglian Daily Times and Future Positive, adds another chapter to the singer’s carefully expanding countryside project, which also includes previously approved plans to convert an old piggery into recording studios. The barns form part of Sheeran’s Grade II-listed farm in Suffolk, where planning permission was granted by Mid Suffolk District Council in October 2026.
Rather than introducing a new standalone development, the scheme is designed to bring neglected 19th-century outbuildings back into use while retaining their historic character.
