Laura Loomer announces 'break' after GOP's midterm rout; but not from supporting Trump

Far-right political influencer Laura Loomer has announced that she is taking a hiatus from her twice-weekly livestreamed show, Loomer Unleashed, saying she needs to focus on her personal life, family and upcoming wedding after spending years working almost around the clock to support US President Donald Trump. Loomer made the announcement in a lengthy post on X on Thursday night, November 5, 2026.

She clarified that she was not quitting political commentary or withdrawing her support for Trump, but would temporarily stop hosting her show."I’ve been going nonstop supporting President Trump @realDonaldTrump ever since he came down the golden escalator. As many of you know, I am chronically tuned in, online, and I am always working.

I am a machine. Some days I work more than 18 hours," she wrote.Explaining her decision, Loomer said she had been neglecting her personal life and relationships because of her work.
