Nepal clinch U-19 women’s cricket title unbeaten in China

Nepal’s U-19 women’s cricket team have won the Belt and Road Series in China, finishing the tournament unbeaten after their final match against Hong Kong was abandoned due to rain on Sunday. Nepal made a winning start by defeating Thailand by seven wickets in their opening match. Their second match against hosts China was affected by rain and ended without a result.

Nepal then registered a comprehensive 92-run victory over Hong Kong before beating Thailand by 52 runs in their fourth match. Nepal strengthened their bid for the title with an 84-run victory over hosts China in their fifth match before taking on Hong Kong in the final fixture. Batting first, Nepal had scored 88 runs for the loss of two wickets in 11 overs when rain interrupted play.
