HYDERABAD Telangana is driving industrial growth with investment-friendly policies and world-class infrastructure, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said here on Wednesday. Addressing the FICCI @100 celebrations and Telangana Deep-Tech Leadership Summit, he said the government is not only investing in research and industrial development but is also placing emphasis on public-private partnerships. Collaborations remain crucial as the State aspires to emerge as a $3-trillion economy by 2047.
On DeepTech, he said, “Telangana has a strong foundation for this work. Hyderabad brings together software, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, aerospace and engineering. Our opportunity lies in getting these capabilities to work together.” Calling for a practical DeepTech blueprint, he said barriers that slow down the fruits of labour of research, and development should be examined carefully and in detail.
He called for shared testing facilities, clearer routes to certification, and carefully designed pilot purchases, which he added, can help good ideas prove themselves.
